Insurance companies

It's that time of year again.

Anyone recommend anybody?

Footman james £196
Graham Sykes £427
Elephant and Swinton don't list the Quantum Xtreme

Any suggestions?

Big cheers

I use Backford Bloor

http://www.kitcar-insurance.co.uk/

They are probably not the cheapest but, and this is a biggie for me, they DO answer the phone when I call and I can speak to the same person several times in a row when I need to sort something out.

I DON'T have to wait forever in a call queue and get passed from one person to another none of whom can help like happens with at least one other prominent broker who deals with Kit cars, bikes etc who I could mention..... but I won't cos I''l probably get into trouble if I do - I'm sure you have all heard of them though!

Cheers

Mark

The only whinge I have against Adrian Flux is that they are pretty strict about the time limit on unregistered vehicles - I had to negotiate a deal when my time limit ran out. Mind you, it's not really their fault... it's the insurance company they use that makes the rules.

Apart from that, they've been pretty good with me (at least I could negotiate!).

I got my renewal in a few days ago from Sureterm.

£180 - fully comp.

They followed this with a phone call - "will you be renewing your policy with us" ?

No thanks I said, Flux will cover me for £136.

"Hang on a minute" was the reply from Sureterm - then she came back.

"If you add your wife to the policy, we can do it for a total of £129".........

Insurance - it makes no sense to me. I did however stick with Sureterm

Guys when you state your premium can you let us know what the car is (ie engine) and age, maybe location as well, everyones different on here and just stating a price aint helpfull.

cheers

I managed to get a 10 day extension when sva ing my car, they went out of their way to assisst.

My insurance on a 1700 crossflow locost, fully comp, aged 30. is £125

My problem was that I needed at least a month's extension as I had to rebuild my engine - in the end they held a £75 'credit note' on file for the time that I re-opened a policy with them.

I also paid around £125 eventually, for a fully comp 3k limited miles policy.
