aerocatch is probably the best way, or the westfield mechanism...

BTW Doesn't solve the problem with things showing, but does give you nice smooth lines and SVA friendly.
Only other option I can think of would be to have a release system similar to a tin-top....but I think you'd have to bastardise an existing
install or make one yourself from scratch - nothing like this available "off the shelf"

Just had a thought - you could always use a couple of solenoids / electric door locks that release when you press a button....

I like them aerocatches. Too pricey though. The solenoid idea is good and flash but hard to rig up. I like easy stuff.
I was thinking maybe a hook either side at the front and some sort of catch at the rear. But its fitting it all to the bonnet securly.

Westfield - invisible lug at each side at the front into the nose cone and two key holes on each side at the back that spin a lug on the inside.

I was going to go the "tintop" route by using the catches from a "classic" range rover - it has 2 connected by a wire, but it
would have meant more delays while I made (laid) up mountings for the pins inside the bonnet.
Bonnet remake may well end up with them!!

Cant decide. I like the aero catch but out of my budget. Its looking like dzus or rubbers at the min.
Has anyone any pictures of the westy way?
