try these
http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2004-41,GGLD:en&q=ford+error+codes
http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/ford/index.php
http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/codes.htm

cheers, but i was after decoding the ID Code on the ecu, the 4digit code that tells you which car model/engine type its from, not the fault codes.

If you are still stuck send me an email at work, we have pretty comprehensive lists. you have U2U with email address (don't want to post it,
attracts spam )

There is a pretty good list here:
http://www.peacockandpurvey.co.uk/ford_ecu_list.html
You will have to search the pages for your code & its not an complete list.
Mind you, mine wasn't on the list! The local Ford dealer was very helpful - I took the ECU down to them & they looked it up for me.
Hope this helps
