Accelerator Sensor

I´m in hard need of a brand accelerator sensor.
i have seen until now 1 setup thats like a electric motor with a ring on it, the spring on the axle makes it automaticly return.

the cable of the pedal is attached to the ring. See sketch for the idea..

Question:
- What are now days the sensors like.
- Anyone has seen this kind of thing and on wich car was it...

Thanxs for your participation.. Rescued attachment acc.JPG

Is that a throttle position sensor/switch, frequently called TPS?

Not too sure about brands, I got my first one with my Emerald and the second one with the bike TBs.
