zetec 1.6 flywheel

Hi, after searching the forum there is alot of mention when using a 2.0l or 1.8l zetec and what combination of clutch/flywheel to use.
We are building a 1.6l zetec which is a phase 1 engine and want to bolt it to the type 9 box. What we want to know is:
1. Can we use the flywheel from the 1.6 zetec.
2.Do we use all the clutch components from the type 9.
3.Do we still have to use a different release bearing.
Thanks

Andy

Cant answer your question directly but just a few pointers to consider.

1. If the flywhell fits inside the type 9 bellhousing it might be OK if,
2. The clutch plate has a 1"23 spilne to suit the type 9 input shaft.
3. The release bearing depends on the thickness of the flywheel.

I may be talking bollocks, as it may, or may not be that simple. Best thing to do is junk it and get a 1.8 zetec. Much less hassle!

Hpoe that helps!
