which injectors

Hi,

I am modifying a Vauxhall 16V redtop inlet manifold to accept my GSXR 1000 throttle bodies and need to decide which injectors I should use. They both have advantages and I would value further opinions. The injectors are going to be powered by a Vauxhall GSi coil pack and an MSnSE system.

The standard Vx parts are easy to fit and have a pressure regulator on the fuel rail. But supporting the fuel rail once fitted will take a bit of modifying.

The GSXR injectors can be fixed to the TBs easily but will require an external pressure regulator and modification to the fuel rail.

I am favouring the Vx injectors, what do you say?

Regards, Steve

I'm using the gsxr injectors on mine courtesy of Mark's handiwork (calvinx).

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

I will be using 8 x Honda CBR600 Throttle bodies (38mm) and injectors. Have been told they should be OK.
Altiss Engineering do a Inlet Manifod for these bodies for my Rover V8. However at £600 I think its a bit OVERPRICED
Bogg Bros do one for Honda Blackbird 42mm Throttle Bodies for £380. (Still TOOO Expensive) But thes Honda BB bodies seem to go for a lot more money than the CBR600's, and I need 2 matching sets

Interesting point... 46mm OD Alloy Scaffold Pole is about 39mm Internal diameter. Its thick walled, and you can turn a step on it to fit the CBR600 Rubber fittings, as I have already tried this and it still leaves you with a nice thick walled tube.
Plus 5 metres of Ally scaffold pole was residing in the garage so cost me nowt.

Ohh... Will be using Megasquirt with the Squirt 'n Spark Extra Software, for direct coil / Wasted Spark ignition. (saves needing an EDIS unit as well)

Still not sure what injectors to use between the standard Vauxhall or GSXR injectors?
