Emerald
Chaps,
I've had a q from a chap who may be interested in a spare R V8 ECU I'm flogging. HE wants to know whether I'll sell the loom.
What I need to know is, does the Emerald come with all wiring or do I need to bastardise a Rover one.
If I can flogg the loom as well, then I'll be a bit closer to an ECU
Cheers
Simon
PS - before you ask, I'm not getting a response from their phone at the mo, and auction ends in under a day!

Do not know about the emerald but to make your own loom will cost the best part of £50 once you have purchased them tricky injector plugs !
Depends on how much he is offering ...

Just got my Emerald for christmas , comes with a multiplug and terminals for making your own loom but plug is the same as Rover Mems ecu . I may have
a look at a Rover loom?

It's only the fuel side I'm interested in. Far too complicated getting into ignition too

It comes with a Rover multiplug and pins. You run wires back to the multiplug, connect them to the correct pin and then plug the multiplug into the
back of the ECU. All sounds complicated but one wire at a time and easy once you get started. Injection is just a few more wires and a couple of
sensors...no way could I go back to farting about with carbs.
Wire up the ECU download the software and work thru the manual, you learn loads just reading it. I'm no expert and I got it to work!
