interesting p'heads debate

Dunno if this has been linked to before, but it makes an interesting read, and touches on a few recent threads on here concerning suspension geometry, chassis design and aerodynamics. Quite a few contributions from folks on here, but also quite a bit of input from others.

Geez, enough hot air on there to refloat the Titanic!

That Sam68 bloke must look like a cow when he takes his trousers off!

Well, you don't get that silly playing with one, do you? And he's obviously well past the 2 or 3 stage.

Cheers,
Syd.

I see his profile indicates that he is in housing design. As a civil engineer I should be on for a career swap to an F1 team!

It's amazing how people slag off something, just because it's not built by a "known" manufacturer. A lot of what was said on that thread was absolute b*****ks. If you look at some of the more succesful designs that have made a place in racing history, the locost chassis is an absolute gem. I know that mine, home built with a few mods, handles better than any car I have ever owned, and I have had quite a few. The proof of the pudding is in the eating, and you can't knock it if you havent tried it. (rant over) Regards, Ray

To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy
