Megasquirt tuning tip
One just for the megasquirters really, but if any of you are having difficulty to get acceleration enrichments (AE) tuned totally to your satisfaction
you'd do well to read this thread from the msefi forum :-
http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.php?t=24981&highlight=
......particularly the suggestions made by "Jim".
I've today switched from 2 squirts alternating to 4 squirts alternating (on the constants page) and after a bit of jiggery-pokery with the
req'd fuel and VE map, the improvement in AE response and tuneability is very noticable.
I used to have problems with hesitation on 'tip in' (ie. going lightly back on the throttle from shut), this has now completely
disappeared. I also find I need much less AE enrichment for it to pick up cleanly, and general light throttle drivability is markedy improved. Not
saying it'll work for everybody, but all those on the msefi forum who've tried it seem to be happy with the result.

Mark, I am actually using MS-1 (ver 2.2). This is loaded with msns-e hi-res code, so it appears that it can be of advantage with both
flavours........

I think that other than "Jim", nobody is, as yet, claiming it to be the holy grail, but there seems to be enough evidence for its
advantages (on the setups tried to date) to warrant further investigation. Hopefully this will happen on the ms forums, but I imagine 2 squirts will
remain the default, unless it's proven to give improvement in all cases.
I suspect it only worked for me because I'm using the Hi-res code - obviously 4 squirts will require shorter pulsewidths, and may be too short
at idle and overrun for the normal resolution MS-1 code to accommodate without hardware changes.
