USB to Serial Converter for Megatune
Well I have bought my self a new laptop - I need one of the USB to serial adapters, I know these can be troblesome at the best of times ( Personal
experience of this happening ). So anyone any experience if these ones are OK from Maplin ?
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=29968&criteria=usb%20serial&doy=24m4
Kind regards

I used an IOGEAR adapter with my Emerald ECU. I then had the firmware on the ECU upgraded to the latest spec. Since then I've had to revert to
an old steam driven laptop I found because the comms are flaky with the adapter. What adapter are you selling in your shop??

I have been using one bought from Maplins with megatune for a few years now.
I had problems initially until I changed the timing parameters described on the MS site.
It's been fine since.

Thanks Chaps,
In light of the information received I contact Rob of VEMS Uk and gone with his sugestion as it is known to work with both my current fimware and the
one I need to 'upgrade to '
To be honest it was the same price delivered as the maplin one just wont be able to 'Tune ' tonight
Thanks for all your help
