rover v8 mega squert
Right I have been thinking about this for a bit but its finally time to go to switch to mega squirt on the Marcos. I have a 3.5 RV8 presently running
on carbs and a distrebuter.
Eventually I would like to be running on motorcycle TB’s a but was going to stage the switch over first doing sparks then sorting out the TB’s
I was going to get a full MS kit + box and relay board what other mods \ additions do I need I would like to bild the MS from a kit.
Does any one have any links to a good web sight detailing the install on a Rv8?
Can I completely remove my distributor and plug the hole?

of course you can mate as long as you don't expect to have oil presure!
(the camshaft drives the dizzy via skew gears, slot in end of dizzy drives oil pump)
I know someone who fitted MS to v8 in a land rover.

fitted vems ( similar to MS but a few more options ) on RV8
I Dont have a website .
if you wish to do fuel and spark you will need a set of 'waisted spark coil packs'
Personally I would get it running fuel only and then UG to fuel and spark.

hi thanks for the info.
is there no way of removing distebutor and placing a gear at the bottem for the oil pump? As having the distrebutor conected but doing nothing seams a
bit wastfule / untidy.
wy do you sugest geting the injection running befor the spark?

Several people in the past have cut the tops off the dizzy and fitted a bearing to support the shaft.
I would suggest posting on here to get a view as one of the mods (and supplier of MS units) runs a V8 in his
cobra.
I would go with fuel first and then add sparks, or go with both together. It seems a lot of effort just for sparks.

i got mine from the guy with the cobra and you can specify what you want from his site as i needed a few extra bits to control boost etc .it was just
over £350 built and as i couldnt do it myself was worth the money ,but i would have a long browse on the ms forum as it can be heavy going or maybe
im just a bit thick
