Hate me - Not Blue October
The other day whilst shopping in Woolies I heard a version of what could be "Hate Me" on the shop muzak done by a band who sounded like a
cross between Creed and Nickelback - anybody know who it could be?

Could be Through Glass by Stone Sour... very similar to Creed but nothing like Nickelback.

No ones covered Blue Octobers Hate Me as far as I know. Its a pretty new song as it is.
Was it pretty mellow or more rocky? Would help

There is a song played a lot on Skuzz where the lyrics go: Hate me today, hate me tomorrow, hate me for all the things I didn't do for you...
But I can't remember the name of the group for the life of me, none of the songs on Come whatever may have lyrics like that iirc.
I'll try to find out and let you know...

Hi David - it was mellow but very Creedish (Singer had quite a gravelly voice) and although I only picked up fairly late in the song my recolection of
the words but not the sound where very similar to Blue October's version. Very surprising song choice for Woolworths background music but a
pleasant change. The SWMBO was talking to me so couldn't concentrate on the words.

Try checking Woolies again and look at the CD's on display in the chart area - don't they play stuff that they have on sale?

The Nirvana one is called Rape Me, not woolies material
To be honest it could be anything. There are a lot of bands around now especially the emo/indie lot who are doing the whole gravelly mellow stuff
because apparently its original... All sounds the same to me. I would hazard a guess its one of the newer bands, hence Woolies are playing it.

Thanks all for trying - our Woolies don't sell CD's so no chance there. Anyway the Blue October version is currently one of my
favourites. I'm sure I'll find it some day.

Ask the staff what's playing!
