Starter has its own relay. it will draw about 10amps.

Again the flasher relay is a relay.

Understand that, dont think my post was clear!

Each one of the above items will have its own relaly, are there any other items I havent listed that will require orbe better to have a relay?

I did separate relays for main and dip beam though you could use a changeover relay for the two.

Thats what I intended to do, use a changeover. Seemed like a sensible thing to do!!

is that allowed? From all the cars I have driven and can remember, if you pull the main beam stalk (interemiitant switch)with the head lamps on, both bulbs come one - I don't do it for long as I am sure the heat is not doing the bulbs any favours.

the standard Tiger loom has 6 fuses 1 relay and a flasher unit.... I think that is an absolute minimum and if I was to make my own loom would undoubtedly use more relays!.. as it is I have added 2 more relays and several more fuses for my Megasquirt fuel injection system, HP pump and LC1 wideband O2 etc...

I don't think many would reccomend the Tiger loom as an example of the best practice when making your loom nut it may provide some ideas - the wiring diagram is on my website....

If your control switches are rated to take the load why add more cost and complicated wiring and use relays.

Heavy load items like the fan which have to be switched from a small temp switch I aggree need a relay but if your switches for the lights can handle the load then why use a relay.
