mejajolt vr sensor position

rather than positioning the sensor straight on the wheel has anyone tried positioning it at the side of the teeth 90 degrees.
i cant see why it would make any difference, im sure someone put me right though.
only reason im asking is just making it a neater job having it tucked right up against the engine.

Yes I have seen people who have done it successfully.
As you say it shouldn't really matter.

As long as you get the phasing of the trigger wheel correct, you can mount the sensor at any angle.
