Basic locost wiring

Alright chaps,

I'm about to fit a pinto to my Locost. I bought the car fully built and I have no prior knowledge of electrical wiring.

However the current wiring looks rather shabby and ideally needs redoing.

Are there any books/guides available to show me how to wire the car up step by step?

Is it a complicated job?

Cheers,
AL

Its as complicated as you wanna make it!

If its broke, fix it. If it aint broke, take it apart and find out how it works!

The most difficult part about wiring is making things look neat and tidy. After all its dead easy to connect a piece of wire from one terminal to another!

You could try calling Alan @ Premier Wiring, I think they would probably be able to sell you a loom or part of a loom to completely re-do or tidy up what you have.

Wiring is a daunting part of kitcars to a number of people, but if you take your time and work through it patiently you should be able to achieve most of it yourself.

Alan on 01506 883886 and website is http://www.premierwiring.co.uk

Regards,
Steve

Yep - agree with all those comments.
I hope to leave as much of the current wiring in as possible.

Are there wiring guides/diagrams available to help?

I have a sierra loom that is labeled up with what bit does what, its no use to me as I'm using the fireblade loom, so if you want PM with a price.
