I use google tool bar, it has lots of handy things, auto fill etc, it has a good pop up blocker, and best of all its free
UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall.
TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.

As above Firefox, never get them ever now.
Much better than Internet Exploder

I haven't seen a pop-up in years ---Firefox even better with the AdBloc Plus add on installed.
Beware any free pop blockers that aren't truly free under the GPL or similar license as many contain spyware or are "hostage
ware".

I've just got XP with IE7 patched up to date, no google toolbar, and I very rarely get a popup, like maybe one a month.

I went from IE to Netscape to Firefox in a finally successful bid to end the popups. Firefox rules! (and it's free, with daily updates,
too!)
