It basically means that the code that megatune is trying to run (on your pc) is not the same as the code it has found (on your megasquirt)
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Mmmm sorry but it's a while since I did any work on my own squirt and I'd not want to give you wrong information SO
You'll need to read the manual again as I think it's going to mean setting up a new ini file or changing the code your pc is using at the
moment back to the 029b code in your squirt.
There's a new member on here that'll tell you in a second what and how to do it you could try and u2u him "daxtojeiro" is the
user name and he's one of the extraefi forum top guys who I believe wrote some if not most of the code.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Replace your ms-extra.ini file in C:/Programfiles/megasquirt/megatune2.25/mtcfg/ with this file,

Well I really need to add this to the manual, but basically as we developed the MS1-Extra code we had to write new ini files for MegaTune so all the
new features, etc, etc could be used. This meant adding new pages to MT or changing the memory location for certain features, etc. When ever we do
that we re-name the code by changing the signature it gives when interigated. So when MT first connects to the ECU it asks what am I connected to and
the ECU replies with the code signature.
If the ini file your MT is running isnt the same as the signature then it comes up with the error you had. The ini file I posted was for 029v, so it
matches your ECU so no error will occure.
hope that makes sence,
Phil

Yep thats just about explained it.
Is there any point in updating the ecu or will it be fine?
Any chance you have a base map for a 2.0 zetec handy? It will have a set of gsxr 750 tb's

Hi, well the latest code is 029y4, thats probably going to be the final code. But to be honest unless your sure you know how to upgrade then Id leave
it with 029v in it. Pop on my website and download the config files, theres a zetec Alpha_N code in there, you MUST use Alpha_N for ITBs and you MUST
set up MT for Alpha_N, see here for more details:

Thanks for that Phil I have used the Edis4_AlphaN file which i assume is the correct one.
All i need to do is get it running enough to drive onto the rollers from there its in the hands of the man that can.
Just as a thought wil the system allow you to use a wideband o2 sensor the same as a narrow band one?
In other words can i just wire in and get the correct readings or does it have to come through a controler like the LC1?

Hi Mark,
yes it will need a controller like an LC1 Im afraid. Wideband sensors are not like narrow band items, they need complex control. An LC-1 is a great
investment, ensure you set the EGO settings to wideband in MT and then you can use a target AFR table (8x8) so the ECU will try to fine tune your AFR
in vetually all conditions.

While I remember, just ensure you check that when setting your VE and Spark table you check that the TPS scale is in Volts and not RAW ADC. I changed
MT a while back so it shows in Volts rather than ADC, just be aware that it could be in ADC, if it says V or Volts then its Volts
