Just a day and a few more hours till Freedom
The tolls are to be abolished on the Tay and the Forth road bridges.......
The thieves are still robbing people right up to the wire sunday 11.59.59 to wring the last pound out the Fifers......

What is it you're actually annoyed at ?
80p for a car full of people to cross a bridge sounds much better than paying more to use a ferry to me

Love is like a snowmobile, speeding across the frozen tundra.
Which suddenly flips, pinning you underneath.
At night the ice-weasels come...

I thought you Fifers were loaded so didn't mind paying £1 to get home. I might be able to afford to visit Fife more often now ![](/images//smilies/bigsmile.gif) Have heard
it cost 2 million to put up the new toll booths last year and it's costing 2 million to dismantle them

Isn't the Scottish parliament and Alex Salmond in a bit of trouble over finances at the moment? They want to do lots of good and popular things
like abolish tolls, student fees, NHS waiting times and the like but haven't thought were to get the money to pay for them. How long do you
expect to be toll free?

Theres a method in the snp's madness though, what they are doing is leading us poor Scots into thinking we will be better off until they get a
majority government then wham they'll shaft us right up the jacksy. Then again i dont think we would be better off under any of the parties.

I dont its a ripoff at £2.60 so £2.70 is worse

Nevermind,
Its not like they've just wasted hundreds of thousands of poounds building the toll booth in the wrong place.
Should hopefully cut down the congestion on the fife bound way, but wont really affect the lothian bound way. still 1/2hr ques in the mornings.
