Odd Sierra bits to keep! TOP TIP

When I had my sierra donor I stripped anything i could get my hands on using the principle that it may come in handy....

That paid off yet again this weekend when rigging the throttle cable from my peadl to the GSXR throttle bodies...

Here's the top tip..... the cable release for the bonnet has a plastic ferulle on the end which is perfect for fitting a mountain bike brake cable to the throttle bodies

And also... the remote release for the folding seat backs is also cable operated and has a metal ferulle with a nut on one side which works great at the pedal end

Just shows, it pays to hoard stuff!

your quite right to hold onto the donor till the very end, so long as it doesn't take ten years and you end up with an ASBO from next door

Too right! I had access to a car for bits and pieces, and took things like door rubbers (for edging), flexible concertina rubber wiring covers from door/hatch openings (useful for covering track rod nuts, etc.), etc. etc.
