on megasquirt ,am i right in thinking that there is a setting to allow the injectors to give a couple of squirts on pump prime just before you crank
the beast into life?if so how do you set it

It's called priming pulse - opens the injectors to nominally bleed air out and get them ready to squirt petrol. However, turning the ignition on
and off a couple of times helps with colds starts when your cold start settings are not dialed in.
Can't remember where it is but it depends what version of MS you have anyway - hopefully the name should help you out.

You will find priming pulse setting option in Cranking/Prime table Options are Twice,2 secs and power up.
Also some settings in Warm up wizard
Both found in the Crank/Warmup section.

pulse priming is turned on but the injectors arnt firing,once its been cranked a couple of times she fires up

There is a setting for how long the pulse is in milliseconds , its set to 0 by default so needs to have a figure set in it.
