I'd like to know what engine he's got in that Escort - I'm sure I could hear the clunking of a sequential box though.

I`ve seen it mentioned as a `warrior` escort , so probably an all steel pinto with a 16 valve twin cam warrior head............I`d guess at least 250 BHP..........

It's certainly sequential.

I'm off down to Portreath next month to spanner for a friend whose just fitted a Sadev sequential box to his Pug 205 rally car after the lim slip grenaded in the last outing and mashed his straight cut dog box Worse still, the diff had just been replaced as the previous one had cracked it's casing, though he's running about 270bhp! It's a not a cheap sport...

When is the Portreath run, I always hear about it the week after the event! Only 8 miles from me as well!

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

It's the 18th May, but as it's an RAF base I think it's a closed stage, hence no spectating

Always worries me a bit as we are advised never to climb on top of Transits etc (as people do to get a better view) as the ground radar is rather powerfull!
