upgrading TBs
As my previous posts I have been tinkering with megasquirt on a 1.8 Silvertop Zetec with a cut down EFi manifold, 1.8 Zetec Injectors and GSX600
TBs.
I have been mapping on an off getting it just about right.
I got the chance of an ST170 Manifold with Beige 2l Zetec Injectors and GSX750 TBs last week, so I bought them.
I thought I would swap them over but leave the 1.8 injectors on to save a load of mapping again.
Guess what, they don't fit the fuel rail so I swapped the lot over.
Got it running but AFR was upto 37/1 at tickover. I have now altered that many settings it will not tickover under 1000rpm.
What I'm looking for is a list in order what to do.
They are Req'd fuel, pwm and opening time, balance throttle bodies, balance idle screws on each TB, Fuel Pressure then values in the Ve table.
Can i Add a percentage on the VE table or up the entire VE table by a set amount. And anything else I can't think of at the minute.
Cheers Ken

I would leave the GSX-R 600 bodies on as the 750 are too big for a non modified 1.8 zetec.
But you can still use the ST170 manifold and 2l injectors i think.
Don't know anything bout mapping yet though.

Im running a 1,8 fitted with 2L cams using gsxr 600 bodys and injectors, they manage perfectly well and i would think going larger would loose
drivebility. You can scale the VE table to adjust it to different injectors if need be, but you may just need to alter the req fuel setting.

anyone know the flow rates for beige 2l zetec injectors, 220 or 280 rings a bell with me.

managed to sort out the tickover issue.
It seems that the butterfly adjuster between the 1st and 2nd body has a massive effect on the tickover. Once adjusted down it brought the tickover
down.
Managed to get it nice and smooth so took it out for a spin and it goes much better with the gsx750 bodies than it did with the gsx600 bodies.
Just need to play with the req'd fuel and VE table to get it spot on.
