Lancaster Bomber
Heard a great sound of engines outside the office this afternooon - looked out just in time to see a Lancaster flying low over Harrogate Town Centre
Just AWESOME

RAF Waddington airshow next w/e, (google it). Battle of Britain memorial flight will be on display.

scared the hell out of me mark -was working in a dark loft near asda sounded like it was right overhead.WOW

It was! - you could have thrown a stone off the roof at asda and hit it - I wasn't kidding when i said it was low

was out doing a bit of landrovering over Cliff woods the other week & this flew over ,which was a pleasant surprise

Have to agree, awesome sound, even with only one of them. Just imagine what it must have been like during one of the 1000 bomber raids.

I work in the centre of Manchester on the 17th floor and saw/heard the bomber.
It flew bloody close to the building but looked cool

An advert I saw said that the Vulcan might be there as well, "subject to servicability"
Now that would be AWESOME to see!

seen the vulcan doing practice runs before it s "final flight" alot of years ago when staying at the navy base down on the south coast
with sea cadets..
was awsome how they could get it too move!!!!

I yelled at everybody nearby at work to get outside this afternoon, it came over Coalville too, around 1:45 this afternoon I think it was,
couldn't mistake the Rolls Royce soundtrack!!
Retro RWD is the way forward...........automotive fabrication, car restoration, sheetmetal work, engine conversion

I saw the Lancaster catch some greenery when flying over some trees at Audley End House Wings and Wheels day a few years ago
We also had a customer in this morning with a Merlin engine on a trailer complete with prop . Ho would have started it in the car park but all the
cars would have been "pebble dashed"
