Injection fuel pump location
I've just got my bosch fuel pump in the post. I've already got my low pressure pump connected from tank to swirl pot, I just need to fit
the high pressure pump now. Should this be close to the engine end of the car? or mounted in the back with the other pump.

I don't think it really matters as long as it has a good feed from the swirl pot, ie not higher and with no kinks etc.
Man i wish i was at that stage!

Swirl pot is up front so sit it next to that.

Most manufacturers fit the pump near (or in) the tank. Howerver, this is more likely a maintenance reason than a performance one. eg. pumps dont like
runnining dry (pump failure in a short period of time) and a pump further from the tank will take longer to prime.

Hi
Mounting it closer to the inlets reduces the length of high pressure fuel line available to spring a leak.

Injection pumps don't suck well so general advice is close to (and just below) swirl pot (or tank when you don't have one).
