Mods to fuel pump assy
Guys, I'm using a Honda Civic fuel pump/sender assy in my tank. My tank is deeper so I'm extending the "arms" that go between
the pump and the top housing so that the pump ends up down at the bottom. Also I'll be putting in longer pipes and extending the wiring, and
lengthening the float arm.
Basically just making the whole thing suitable for a deeper tank.
Do you see any problems?...or have any "oh my god, you can't do that" type of concerns?
Cheers,
Alan

I,ve made them shorter, never the other way around.
I suppose the leverage will be greater with fuel sloshing around so maybe add an extra brace when you extend. No OMG from me

That is what has been done on mine. Can't foresee any major issues.

I've got a feeling normal fuel hose doesn't like being immersed in unleaded, the rubber outer covering may perish. I think you can buy
special immersible hose for in-tank, no sure where from though.

Good input...thanks guys.
The hose I have to extend the piping is fuel injection rated and seems to be the same rubber inside and out...so I guess I'll see how it goes
and keep my eye on things.
Also, yes the the extra length and sloshing was something I considered...again, some thing else to look at.
Again, cheers guys.
