How to test a WB sensor
Bit of a sad tail, got my JAW working and everything looking good on the table so moved across to the car, again all working well then.....
Engine badly flooded so had to remove plugs and dry, now the sensor seems to be FBAR.
It heats and everything but I suspect its been splashed with neat petrol, would this destroy it ?
As its very sooty, maybe this could be the issue, anyway to clean these things?

All looks good unfortunately expect that the AFR a value stays high when shown a bit of propane or engine running.
Haet counts down, as it gets to low numbers the AFR climbs, bothe Vin tables jump around a bit.
Calibrate returns -30 -40 which cannot be good.

I have jumped to 1.11, maybe not a good move then so will fall back. Not expecting salavation though.

1.10 sorts out a few things like the Vout's forgetting what they were set to, but it looks like my lambda is stuffed.
Set the calibrate to -30 and it moves with mixture, at -10 or above its just stuck @ 4.38v 34.84 AFR.
Still at least its doing something now. The heat engine off is stable @ 14 - 16, fire it up and that seems to swing about a bit as well.

My knackered silvertop oils up the narrowband sensor I have fitted at present but have found i can revive it by heating it up with a blowlamp till the
oil burns off and checked it with a meter whilst in the flame etc.I dont know if this works with a wideband sensor as Ihavent left my wideband in the
exhaust long enough to oil up, but if all else fails it may be worth a try.
Im about to get my replacement blacktop engine going so hope to be able to fit the JAW and map it with that soon.
