refurbing a LSD
looking to get a LSD for the Indy so need 7" and i assume it is the bolt-on type as having rear discs?
Just wondered is it better to buy a second hand LSD off fleabay and get it refurbed and if so, where can I get it done from?
or is it cheaper to just buy a "reconditioned as new" one? again, where can i get it from?

sideways, thoroughly used, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... "f*ck, what a trip!"

Hi,
I've had a few diffs and they have all been fine - I paid around £70ish for an LSD.
You could save up and get a Quaife for around £500+
Personally, I'd find a cheapish second hand diff and try it, the worst that can happen is you have an exchange unit
Cheers,
M

Phil Jones Engine Developments did a great job on rebuilding my 7" LSD, costs reasonable, nice small busines, bag of replaced bits.
