Will Megasquirt run a V12 ?

Been offered one of these. Realllly cheap.
As in "you can have it when I'm finished with it".

I've actually driven the engine. Goes well in a car that weighs as much as the moon, might go better in a lightweight middy.

Yeah, I know.

Stupid idea.

That's one way of upping your power to weight ratio, get rid of the car and just drive the engine.

I had visions of him being dragged along the ground by a run away engine

So Zil, what is it going to go into? I'd be mighty surprised if the back axle of the Sylva could take the torque! Or indeed the engine bay was big enough!

ZX10 bike engine to V12 car engine, that's some engine swap!

Nooooo.....

Don't reckon a Vauxhall Viva axle would be too cool with 300bhp.

I'm just messing with the idea.
Rotorman is always on at me to forget the Sylva and build a proper mid engined car, hence this stupid idea. I do suspect that the other ZX10 engine is a much more sensible idea though.

Here's the Rotor at Silverstone. It would be something very much along these lines.

Still less than 300bhp, IIRC.

Why not an Audi 2.8 V6 with a couple of turbos, already comes with the right transmission, and you hould be able to get 300 easily.

Even a moddified 1.8t can achieve that

John
