perspex sheet

Morning all

Well after the hectic day at SVA yesterday I'm ready to start cracking at these fail jobs.

Largest is to cover all the dials to prevent the sphere getting at them. I thought a piece of thinish perspex about the size of a pane of greenhouse glass would be ideal.

I know that you can get perspex panes for greenhouses but can't find any.

B&Q sell huge sheets of the stuff but I only need about 400mmx400mm

Any ideas of where to try?

Cheers
Nigel

I'll have a look I may have some in work. I'll get a look at lunch time for you.

Try your local signmakers, usually keep offcuts of jobs for people such as yerself.
If no joy i've got bits in me workshop.
You need acrylic rather than the brittle and cracktastic stuff that B&Q sell.

For really thin stuff [I used and it was fine] buy a cheap clip frame for pictures / posters with perspex sheet over it. Watch out though as some are glass.

Just read your post again - they might not be big enough for what you want.

My local glazing shop sells it. Yours might too. You can probably get it from an eBay trader if you want to pay the postage.
