poly bush hardness
Hi Gents:
I need to order some polyurethane stock that will be turned for my bushings. What hardness range should I be after?

What about Nylon 66? Standard engineering bearing material, easy to machine and cheap.

With no give at all....
Not sure, but mine are very hard material, not sure what the Shore value is though.
Why not ask someone like rally design what their bushes are?

Yup no give at all!
Ok if you used a simple jig to ensure your top and bottom bushes are concentric ( I used a bit of 12mm rod) and on the road they might be a bit
noisy.
I suppose it depends if you are happy with your suspension pick up points moving about - to be honest I don't think it would make much
difference they will only move a few mm.
Anyone any experiences of nylon versus polyurethane bushes?
Cheers
David

Hi.
For suspension bushes you are looking at 80-85 shore. for damper bushing you would want 90 shore.
