Im gonna redesign my rear uprights since they were a bit of a compromise from the outset, nasty shock angle and weird geometry (was the first
suspension bits I made) might have a go in ally this time for a bit of fun...
Would like to re-do my scuttle and rear panel / wings too since they are full of filler and not too pretty!
And finally - a roof and some windscreen wipers!!

Make some inner wings to stop the spray from finding the gaps around the heater......
Seal the gaps around the heater........
Sort out the c$$p demister........
Make a weather proof hardtop.......
Oh , and try and get the exhausts to exit out the back cuz it's a bit noisy with the hood up.......
In short........since it will probably rain all next year as well , keeping the weather out has to be top priority

Just bought a 110 Landrover!
So my winter will be uncovering rust and whatever mechanical demons lurk under the skin of that beast!
The Indy will be sitting in the garage, under it's cover waiting for global warming, or me emigrating, whichever comes sooner.

It's funny how with weather like this we're all worrying about screens etc!
Fitting screen and hood etc. are my forthcoming projects.
Oh, and sorting out a new garage as I've been finally kicked out my parents!
I'll hopefully finish the MNR and then spend the rest of the winter wishing I'd built it to RGB spec. Oh, and I'm going to do my ARDS test. Just in case.

Wire brush and paint any rusty bits, design a new rear cover and box, decide whether or not to try and source/change the diff, stop the garage door leaking...
I am hoping that now summer has gone the weather will improve or at least stop raining so that I can use my car. The last two summers have been pants so I intend to use it all winter then upgrade in the rainy summer next year. A cunning plan. Maybe.

- new and better rear and side panels
- re-position the front blinkers
- bonnet without airscoop but wit nice louvers

- interior carpet
- alu airbox
- painting the bodywork
- fitting some nice BBS Lemans (replica’s
)
Sell car.... Buy house with garage so i can buy or build another car next winter!

Would like to get some raceleda front uprights and some wilwood or similar billet brakes....
And go from vented to solid at the front - god knows why I put them on in the first place!
the car has had some hard cornering abuse so ball joints, rod ends ,wheel bearings and a full hit of poly bushes ,yeah right il spend the winter
infront of the fire only to realise one week before the season starts that ive got all of the above to do

Do many keep their Locost on the road over winter?
My tax expires at the end of Sept and I am loathed to SORN it for the sake of £120. Given the bizarre climate, are we more likely to get dry/fine days
during the winter (albeit cold) than we did during the summer.

I find the winter driving most enjoyable! Not too many dithering sightseers on the road, the engine runs sweetly in the cold air, and zooming along
on a crisp sunny day is just perfect.
The only down-side is that I can't find a way to keep my hands warm - I've tried many solutions, including electrically heated gloves
(albeit not very good ones), but the best I've found so far has been a pair of 'lobster claw'/'Doctor Spock live long and
prosper' mitts... warmish but clumsy. A bit like these...
only simple bits for me,
LED rear lights
complete engine service & other general maintenance tasks. nothing drastic
just finish off some comestic bits that were dubious for SVA
Top bonnet vents purely because they look nice and get my snazzy water jet cut badges painted and fitted to the front and rear.
Oh and hopefully get some nice dry sunny cold days so I can learn how to drive it so far it's only been to SVA and back driven quite catiously
as it scared me stupid

Jobs to do: (this is the first time I've actually written it down)
1. drill holes to mount rear arches
2. paint said arches
3. mount rear lights
4. finish dash and switch installs
5. permanently mount nose cone
6. install windshield, wipers and washer lines
7. wire lights and instruments etc (engine already wired)
8. highly modify bonnet or make new bonnet, and install catches
9. install cycle wings
10. Install headlights and front bike indicators
11. Install passenger seat and seat belts
12. order paperwork from the provincial government
13. arrange inspection, PASS inspection
14. Drive car like a little old lady from Pasadena for a few weeks, before turning into Mr. Hyde behind the wheel.
Please don't say a weekend's work!! Aiming for beginning of June.
* moving the coolant expansion tank to the front of the engine (less clutter)
* fitting rad ducting
* fix noisy rear polybushes
* fit charade alternator (now a 2cv one and it's struggling)
* fit interior carpets
* connect the flashy aero-style filler to the fuel tank so that it actually works...
* new rear cover
* H4 headlight conversion since i'm now running the old filament type bulbs
* tidy up wiring loom
* tune megasquirt (i'm lucky enough to have not one but two rolling roads at my disposal!)
* shorten battered pinto sump
And if time and money permits:
* fit wipers
* fit heater
* fit hood
(yes, me too....)
* fit proper 4-into-1 exhaust
* modify cylinder head
That's about it, i guess... I'd better get cracking!
