If it was my money, I'd go for the K1 attack. Don't know if it could be done within the 12K budget but I'd definitely try.

That is one damn sexy motor.

I'll go see if I can find a link..............................

Goddamn Sexy Motor

lmp,as seen on the bec section....if only i had a sack full of cash

SixedUp - 3/10/05 at 06:47 PM

I agree, the K1 Attack is lovely, but the basic kit price is £12,500 ... too much for his budget.

You could try the Aeon GT; they reckon you can build one with the VAG 1.8T motor for somwhere in the £12,000-£14,000 range, so if you were careful, with a lucky engine-find, you might be able to pare that back to within your budget.

I rather fancy something different from the sevenesque styling next time, and the spyder version of the Aeon is on my tentative list, possibly with a V6 of some description. Haven't yet done any research to find out how good/bad it really is though. Anyone on the list either building or finished one, that would care to comment?

Cheers
Richard

So do I

Although I would go for something like an Audi Turbo. In fact I may once I blow the K up again :-)

kb58 - 3/10/05 at 07:44 PM

I never cared for how K1 (not necessarily their distributers) represented themselves - too much pseudo technical data. Please research the history of the company and the car - my advice is to buy a used one. If you take your time you may find one quite reasonable.

There's http://www.attackforums.com/ where you can find them for sale.

hi all

thanks for the help

thanks

koen de jong

Mave - 4/10/05 at 06:41 PM

Better save some more cash Koen, for the GTM!

By the way; theconrodkid, I just noticed your signature. It is mis-spelled (should read goudVis instead of gouduis). But have you got any clue what it means?

ceebmoj - 5/10/05 at 07:49 AM

akumabito - 5/10/05 at 08:38 AM

IMHO the K1 looks pretty damn sexy! I don't care much for the big "attack" logo on the back though.. it needs to be covered up, it's just too ricer-like..

thomas4age - 6/10/05 at 08:53 AM

that would be LMP by Turner anytime!

@steven Turner, where's your mailbox? can't seem to reach you for a month now?

just need to get the striker sold, and it'll be build time again!

grtz Thomas

btw he Koen, do we know eatchother? KCC maybe?

No one is following his list. "Fast" is easy but he wants a roof and <12K Pounds. Mazda RX-7?

thomas4age - 7/10/05 at 01:54 PM

that's waht I said,

build an LMP, 've been told there's a coupe version comming along,

otherwise a Aeon GT or blaze (former pell gennesis)

would still do the LMP without questions, one could faily easily make a roof section for that car.

grtz Thomas

Mave - 7/10/05 at 06:12 PM

I like the Turner LMP a lot; the styling, as well as the engineering. But Koen indeed wants a roof, and somewhat "daily practicality". I'm not too sure a LMP style car can deliver this.

But then again; Koen, take the LMP. It's soooooo nice......

tadltd - 7/10/05 at 08:47 PM

I did do a 'roofed' LMP design (called the GT - very original!) for a guy who was looking to invest in the company. Still toying with the idea of producing it, though...

andygtt - 7/10/05 at 09:26 PM

That is VERY nice IMO...... make it a removable roof and I recon that could be a Big winner.

MikeR - 7/10/05 at 10:34 PM

Can't help thinking that looks very like the ultima......

now if you're hoping to steal business that has to be a good thing. If you're not, perhaps it isn't.

SixedUp - 9/10/05 at 09:01 PM

Steve,
Irrespective of the Ultima comparisons, that is beautiful. The proportions look very nice. Personally I'd want a big wing on the back (no accounting for taste, eh?) but I guess that would be easy to do

Cheers
Richard

Its bog all like an Ultima when your strapped into it

NAY! There's no doubt that the Ultima is a brilliant car, but the fender lines (front and rear of the Turner LMP are significantly different. IMHO the sharp edges of the LMP are even more beautiful than the soft edges of the Ultima.

And do they really share the same market? I would buy a Turner LMP in a millisecond if I had the money (gimme that ZX12r) , but don't feel the same about the Ultima.

Look at the Ultima,

OK, I'd buy an Ultima too...

[Edited on 10/9/05 by sgraber]

Volvorsport - 9/10/05 at 11:07 PM

hmm its difficult to say , i think the LMP has defintely got an edge styling wise .

the ultima is getting dated ( did i say that) , it looks nice , but has done for the past 10 years .

i prefer the edgey look , its far more aggressive .

i dont think ultimas customer base would change much even if steve did make the coupe version .

andygtt - 10/10/05 at 07:47 AM

I'd agree that it won't compete directly with an Ultima (although there is definatelly a market for an Ultima alternative as currently there isn't one in the UK)

For a start they are in different price brakets and the Ultima has a heady V8 with huge BHP potential.

I'd still say that design could be a winner, I do know that the closed top Ultima GTR is a much bigger seller than the open top Ultima Canam (which is a genuine convertible and better looking IMO)....... so it could well open up a whole new market.

Complete with V6 too!

But not exactly as Aeon intended as it has been extensively modified (cosmetically) from the original design
