Well done Phil, sounds like a challenging time !

Good luck tomorrow, I found Borehamwood to be by some stretch the most frustrating part of the whole process. After waiting for ages a bored chap finally deigned to come and look at the car, he checked the paperwork and the VIN then disappeared. I waited ages before catching someone else and getting matey back who explained that I couldn't use the Luego VIN but had to have a DVLA VIN. He was going to send me the details and new VIN in the post and only spoke to me on the day because I made a scene at the centre. They finally gave me the docs and explained that I had to get the VIN changed and witnessed by a local garage and the paperwork sent back again before I could get the registration details.

Hopefully the process and/or people have changed and you'll get a better experience. Most frustrating thing is that different centres seem to operate different rules.

The only thing I will offer in their defence is that the centre seemed to be full of all sorts of pondlife that all seem to be trying to get around some system or another or making excuses about why they've no road tax and perhaps the staff just expect the worst of us all and want as little contact as possible.....

Cheers
Simon
