Sierra front upright pinch bolt.

Evening all.

I was wondering if anyone knew what lenght and spec the pinch bolt used on the sierra fron uprights is? I think it is an M12 item, but I dont have anything to check! I would get a ford replacement part, but It must be an off the shelf bolt that I can "acquire" from work tomorrow!

Cheers
Andy

Sierra front upright pinch bolts are M12-60m

Brilliant cheers folks!

Out of interest, does this bolt have any particulare means of locking the bolt in place? I'm thinking some kind of threadlock compound, or possibly a nyloc nut on the protruding thread.

Cheers

Mine is M12 8.8. Long enough to hold cycle wing bracket as well. I drilled clearance hole through upright (result of snapped bolts) and nyloc nut.

That sounds like a good idea.... I had a nightmare getting the pinch bolt out when dismantling the donor parts. I ended up having to weld a new head to the sheared off bolt, before I could remove it.

Now, Where did I put my 12mm drill!!!

Cheers folks!
