Anyone any good with electrics ?

I'm using a ford mondeo fuel pump out of a 2001 2 litre car, in a kit car, the wiring is causing me a little confusion.

I have found the resistance between the earth and the positive feed, but when I put a supply through it, nothing happens. Shouldn't the pump start working ?

Is there any way to find out what the other wires do, or test it in any other way ?

Any help appreciated.

any help..looks the body is earthed too.
