Lighting solenoid??
chrisg - 24/3/09 at 07:18 PM

I'm using the Westfield world wiring diagrams here

Click on the "lighting" tab.

This uses something called a light solenoid. I'm not sure what it is or what it's for - any ideas?

Cheers

Chris

i'd have said just a normal relay, but not sure why theres so many connections to it. i thought you'd just use a relay for main beam headlights?

I think it is a change over relay.

So one way the electricals go to one bulb, main, and the other way, to dip?

Have a look on page 26 of the Polevolt catalogue.
