Would it be acceptable at IVA to have front indicators as per the Caterham setup with the indicator mounted just below the headlight rather than on an
extended stalk off the nosecone?
I notice their headlight seems to be a little higher than on the MK. Whats the rule in terms of where the indicator must be visible from?
Caterham indicators
I get the 40cm from the outside of the vehicle just not sure on angles etc?
Rich
had my sva last week with the lights as pictured below, they failed because at 45 deg you cant see the far indicator as it is hidden by the nose, i
need to move it forward so that it comes in to view, mine do sit lower than the pic your showing though
Description
Thanks for that. The picture is from a Caterham but I have an MK and as I said the headlight mount is higher on the Caterham probably for that reason.
So the inspector needs to be able to stand at 45 degrees from the front of the car and see the far indicator, correct?
Rich
yeah i cant recall prpoer what he did but it was something like 3 paces forward and 5 paces to the right from the indicator you cant see in my pic, does that make sense, and from that position you need to be able to see both lights
should be 3 paces forward and 3 paces to the side to get 45 degrees. or 5 and 5 but yeah, its 45 degrees accross the front of the car, and 80 degrees to the sides
