Hi,
does anyone know of a good place to get a basic lighting and ignition loom from for a seven??
I had found a company called Basic Loom which had the perfect loom for £110 but they seem to have dissappeared now
So am in need of a loom to run my Carbed engine car with just basic bits in as my current loom is useless.
thanks in advance
Very easy to make your own and you can find loads of info on the westfield owners club site inc diagrams ect
i know but i havent because the one i was hopin to buy would of been so much easier and when i go and buy all the wires and connections etc it prob not far off buying a pre made one...unless i am wrong....

I've spent hundreds on wires and connectors, when it would have been nice to get a whole loom and not just part of one.
Shall get in touch with them.
thanks for the info

yes to your questions, also if you phone him up he,ll add extra,s to your requirements...eg fuel pump/alarm/spare aux feed etc, he,s very helpful, & no i,m not on commission
andy
i hope you find him as helpful as i did, he did seem to totally understand the "7 style" wiring requirements,
good luck & let us all know if you get sorted
andy
I also have one of Alan's sierra - based looms. Very impressed - he will want details of your column switches so he sends you the most ideal set
up.
Great guy to deal with - loom is very easy to understand - lots of details sent with it to help, too.
Good luck, and keep the smoke in your wires!
Best £110 i spent on my car was the premier wiring loom, as said alan is a top guy very helpfull too. If the loom has only gone up £10 to £120 in 7
years i would say thats a bargain.
I spliced my switchgear wires to the plugs i had on my column switches, worth asking alan if he still does the service of fitting your connectors
before he sends the loom. He used to do this service and it makes the loom literaly plug and play.(you just need to post your switchgear connectors to
him)
One nice touch is when i decided to fit the screen and wipers the loom is already wired to take the relay for intermitant wipe, its a brilliant piece
of kit with plenty of length on the wires too.

Does the premier loom come with all the relays fitted, or do I need to buy these aswell?
Cheers
Adrian
Relay sockets fitted, but no relays
Hi guys, i ordered a sierra based loom from premier wiring and after a week or so i got it. I am very happy with it but the problem i have now is that
i need an invoice for it but Alan seems to ingnore all my emails. I couldn't reach them on the phone - it gives me a busy tone all the time.
Would you give me an advice what should i do because i need that invoice as soon as possible. I put it in paypal as a note with all my company details
(and a couple of times after that as an email) and he put me in the package just the paypal transaction details, which is very far from invoice.
Please advice.
Thanks in advance
Yavor
Keep trying on the tlephone, he will answer eventually.
No answer today as well - busy tone all the time, no answer in the mailbox.. he was very fast in the responces when he had to send me the PAYPAL invoice but now... i am very disapointed, this is not the way to do business...
Donor Sierra, comes free with the car. Easy to strip down and use on the 7.
Good morning folks, can somebody try to dial the number for me to check if it is available or the problem is in my phone cause i still cannot contact
Alan and i still have not a response from him in my email box. Thanks in advance
Yavor
Hi, i manage to contact Alan and now i am a proud owner of an invoice so i am cool. And ones more, the loom is reaaaally nice and easy to work
with.
Regards
Yavor
As I said earlier - Alan's a great supplier and really knows his stuff! Now get building! - By the way, Do you have an IVA / SVA type test over in Bulgaria?
HI, yes we have some sort of test which we hold in a lab called "technotest". The issue here is that we do not have such thing as a kit cars and there are not very clear rules how the test should go. There is only one robin hood 2B but it came with the plates from UK and it had been difficult even that way to pass. Technotest lab is only one and ... it is actually private one. Some say it is very corrupted, and the battle for register my car will be hard. So fingers crossed)
that sounds dodgy! if you couple that with the stories I've heard about the availability of even the basic items in the shops......and I thought
we had problems in the UK!
