Savage Switch Connection - Pt2.
Dick Axtell - 11/7/09 at 04:53 PM

OK Guys (or even Ladies?) - We now know that Savage switches all have the same wiring/connection diagram, thanks to this recent thread :-

http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=116847

My question now is - what is meant by the word "source"? Terminal 1 is connected to +12v supply; terminal B is earthed (-ve); terminal 2 to "source"(?); and terminal A to illumination supply.

Do I assume that "source" means the device to be controlled by the switch?

I'd be very grateful for some clarification.

yep you're right. Think of it as 1= power in 2=power out [doesn't matter which bank or side you use]

a = b illumination

Easy, the connector block clicks off, I think there is a catch on one side. Then you are left with the barrel of the body. Unscrew the aluminium collar and all becomes apparent.

Many thanks for the confirmation.
