Well I gave up with brackets and magnets as the car was in bits more than on the road. I ordered the type 9 sender and adaptor form Burton power and
it's fantastic, the needle is steady rather than flickering like it use to. Just wish I fitted it from the beginning.
Anyone yet to sort out there speedo sender it's well worth a look.
I have the same solution - its way better than faffing around with magnets.
Which speedo? I have all the parts to do it and was wondering if it would work with my Acewell.
If the question is to me I'm using Stewart Warner Gauges. 1 wire to the gauge for a pulse, gauge accepts between 4000 & 20,000 pulses per
mile.
The burton unit generates 8 pulses per revolution according to ther info on the website.
Ideal solution for me who knows zip about electronics etc I'll leave the clever stuff up to more able people.
