Brake test light switch thing
speedyxjs - 28/9/09 at 07:54 PM

I kept the old brake light switch from the donor as i thought it may come in handy and now i have thought of a use for it.

I was going to use it as the handbrake light switch but it is a bit bulky.

Has anyone got any pics of how they have mounted theirs so i can get some ideas?

I used the door switches that used to light the courtesy light in my donor. They're pretty small and fit nicely under the handbrake lever.

I used a Volvo 480 handbrake assembly with the switch built in.

i'm using a ford cortina push switch with a brake light built in. not bothering with the handbrake switch route myself

sorry to barge in but can the same warning light be used for handbrake and brake reservoir fluid level/test switch?

my tintop uses the same light for both so was wondering if i could do it that way.

it sure can (but as far as i can see, there still no requirement for a handbrake warning light)
