Hi,
I have just aquired an acewell digidash and am looking at the speed sensor.
Can any one tell me or show me a picture of where they installed the sensor and magnet.
Thanks
frank
FrankP,
There are a couple of threads regarding speed/RPM sensor placement and orientation, a quick search must provide plenty of food for thought.
All the Best.

Can't offer any pics but the magnet can go on any rotating part (usually driveshaft or prop) & the plastic sensor needs to be bolted on a bracket such that the magnet passes close by to the line towards the end of the unit. Hope that makes sense to you.
I filed flat on the front uj, cut the threaded part off the magnet and araldited it to the uj.
The pickup hangs off bracket bolted to the gearstick hole on the gearbox (type 9).
Hi, i have no pictures of mine, but i drilled out the youlk on my rear driveshaft, then tapped out i think it was a 6mm thread and locktited it in
situe. then i made a frame that supported the sensor out of aluminium, and mounted it above the sensor. Make sure you leave at least 3mm clearence
between the sensors, and use a none conductive material to mount the pick up or you might get a false reading. Also mount the pick up longways over
the sensor, otherwise it might do what mine did. It went to 42 mph and jumped to 70 plus mph, which didn't come to light till it went on sva
rolling road,and failed....Doh!!
Have fun regards Eric.
