hi,

my fuel pump makes a right racket when not been on for a few days however settles down after a few miles. It packed up on me as well last year during a run out however tapped it and it fired up again luckily as i was blocking the road!

Im running zx9 carbs on a cvh engine and was looking to replace the fuel pump due to noise and the reliability issues. It looks like a mitsubishi fuel pump as it has the sign on the bottom however cant see anything online similar - im aware i can probably change to a zx9 or r1 set of carbs however thought it would be easier for a direct replacement - any ideas anyone?

Any carbed bike fuel pump 600cc up should do.

Are you sure it isn't an air leak, or the position of the pump?

My Zx6 pump kept making loads of noise on and off until I put it under the tank so that it was gravity fed.

its under the tank already - its made noise since i got the car so not sure really

i will have a play around with it soon to see it quietens down

my suzuki gsxr600 bike pump has the mitsubishi logo on, i think quite a few of the jap bikes do.

are there no numbers on it?

i need to have a better look i reckon - i will see what i can find later!
