Has anyone used Windows 7 with their power commander if not does anyone know if the powercommander III is compatible with Windows 7, on the Dynojet website they list compatibility with 95/98/ME/2000/and XP and also what are the system requirements ie does it use much memory.

Hi Dave, not sure about powercommander but the megajolt software is not directly compatible with win7.

Fortunately win7 includes a compatibility mode where it can run programs as if it were an older version of the operating system.

If it doesnt work straight off the bat just right click on the program (not the shortcut) and navigate to the compatibility tab. There is a drop down box in there where you can select another OS e.g. XP. Try it again and it should work

Thanks go to mcerd1 for this tip

im using mine on my XP installed duel core netbook (samsung N110) which only has 1 gig of ram and works fine. Its a nice netbook as it also runs my LC1 data logger and my camtasia screen recording program all at the same time.

I had issues with Windows seven and the powercommander software. It kept disconnecting me. I had a few apps that only run under win xp so I ran a dual boot system. However you could run compatility mode that may work. Your spec is more than man enough to run the software, it's a tiny program!
