OK MS fires two banks.
so on my Rover V8 which cylinders would make up bank 1, and which bank 2
I assume its connected with the firing order and not as simple as left and right banks of the engine.

on the final stages should test start it within the next few weeks.
You should get your answer here:

The term 'banks' is used for 4 cylinder engines also'. So it does not necessarliy mean left and right cylinder banks on a V8.

Paul , the firing order should be 18436572. Presume you are using a wasted spark system? in which case cylinders 1&6, 8&5,4&7 and 3&2
would fire together HTH , Mel
Sorry Paul, just reread your original post and realised you mean the injector firing order?? Does sequential injector firing have any advantages over
batch firing other than fuel consumption?

Normally a V8 on MS is wired so the injectors in each bank fire simultaneously, e.g. bank 1=left bank, bank 2=right bank or vice versa.

OK so after a little reading...
I will start off with simultaneous firing so all 8 injectors fire at one BUT...
if I set 1 4 6 7 as one bank and 8352 I could play around with alternating firing order to get a better result later.
Cheers for the replies
Paul
off to make the engine loom now.
If the firing order is 18436572, then the two banks need to compliment eachother, making them 1843, 6572 and your ignition firing should be 1&6,
8&5, 4&7, 3&2.
hth.
Ahh..
I get the idea...
I need to think this through a little more but its starting to make sense...
