Which Battery Charger / Starter
lsdweb - 21/4/10 at 07:48 PM

Hi All

I'm looking for a battery charger and starter for my garage. I want a decent mains powered one not a portable pack.

I've got an eBay 10% off voucher and was looking at this one - link - the spec looks ok and it's got free postage too!

Any thoughts?

You want to start and charge the whole street, that looks like overkill.

1 x 50A Fuse.

How are you going to run that from a ring main?

Is that not the DC circuit protection?

RMS charging current is 20A and 35A so you might get nuisance tripping if running it at full load on a household ring.

Have a look at :linky
Higher output, smaller size and cheaper.
