electric reverse...an adaption??
boggle - 23/4/10 at 03:08 PM

im just having a thought....

600 pounds for a reverse box is not an option at the moment, so im looking at using a starter motor....

however, i dont want to run this on the bike battery so could i fit a small alternator to run off the rear diff flange to charge a seperate battery???

cheers

barry

Space is at a premuim so stickin more stuff under the rear is a no no.
Cant you hire borrow one of some one...just for the test...same as the catz

the usual way is to stick a motorcycle starter motor on a cog at the top of the rear tunnel.

that will require a small jap battery to run it.
Using a bike battery is a poor move as we have found. The first time you lay the car up for a few weeks you need a new 50 quid battery.......

Just make sure you don't miss when you drive at her, then you won't need reverse to get her.

Fit a split charge relay, then the two batteries are kept charged but are on seperate circuits
