Has anyone managed to get the charge warning light on the etb digi dash2 to work correctly?
I cannot see an input on the wiring diagram for the charge circuit.
blimey thats freaky was going to ask the same question tonight,
read out is way off compared to readings i get from multi metre,
would also like to know ??
There is no requirement for an additional wire, the digi dash get's it readings from the live and earth wires you will have already connected to
get the dash working.
It's also got an alarm which is adjustable to come on at your specified voltage.

As per above the digidash measures the system voltage and you set the alarm at the level you want (about 12-13Vdc).
Point to note is that you will still need to wire a charge fail lamp to the alternator as it will not charge the battery without it.
I paid out for a second hand alternator to find that one out
I found that out today, but didnt suspect the alternator.
Charge light it is then.
When does the battery light come on then?when the battery voltage is low?

As said previously it works on the system voltage and the warning light will come on at a pre-set (by the user) voltage. So advisable to set somewhere between 12-13v, about the nominal battery voltage. When the engine starts and the alternator kicks in the voltage across the system will go up to ~14-15v. Should the alternator fail it will not achieve this voltage and the light will come one!
