I'm fitting an escort fuel sender unit to my petrol tank. It has a single wiring connection.

Does the tank or the sender need to be earthed for it to work?

earth the sender,dont want sparks in yr petrol

Earth the tank as well,

It will stop any sparks when you fill up.
