Binding a loom - does it all need binding?
adrianreeve - 11/6/10 at 07:49 PM

I have a loom from Premier, it's all neatly cable tied together, so my question is, do I need to put the part of the loom that goes behind the scuttle panel, and is never seen once the build is complete in some split convoluted hosing, or do I just need to use this where the loom breaks out?

Cheers

it doesn't need binding but it does make it look neater and reduces the chances of damaging the wiring. IVA can fail it if the wiring is hanging down too low

DOnt tape or cover it up too much. In three years time when you need to change it or fit something new youe will regret it!!

Also By grouping all of the wires together in a regimented fashion shortens the wires and can cause a spade connecter to ping off when you put all the dash and stuff back on.
